The wine had lovely aromas of raspberries, strawberries and cream and spice. The palate is refreshingly dry with red currant, pink musk, followed with a flavoursome, yet savoury finish. Delicious anytime!!

Another wonderful adventure through the Black Series, with the release of our 2017 Rose, made entirely from Hunter Valley Shiraz grapes.
We have made this wine in the Saignée style, or bleedoff, as it is sometimes referred. This method is often used to create the most delicate of the Rosés. The juice is gathered from the weight of the grapes pressing down on top of each other and ‘bleeding off’ the shiraz juice. As the juice is in contact with the skins for a very short time, the colour is light, yet the wine produced is full and fruity retaining great freshness. We sent a portion of the juice to barrel for wilde ferment, whilst the remainder was fermented in stainless steel. All components were then blended together giving us a sumptuous and delicious wine. Aromatic. Fruitful. Delicious. The wine is pale blush, with aromas of raspberries, blossom, pink musk and grapefruit. The palate is refreshingly dry with red currant, a gorgeous hint of citrus and a lovely balance of acidity, followed with flavoursome, yet savoury finish.
The Rosé is an ideal beverage served chilled with a share plate of charcuterie or fried aranchini.
A beautiful food wine to be drunk chilled now.
